Walking into a boss room and seeing three separate health bars pop up is never a good sign, but if you're playing a FromSoftware game, it's exactly the sort of thing you signed up for. It's not a terribly exciting battle, but the location and atmosphere more than compensate. Her attacks are powerful but limited in scope, not hard to evade if you're patient. The trick to this fight is to never get surrounded by Rom's little minions and to concentrate all your efforts on her. There, too, is Rom, the Vacuous Spider, flanked by a number of smaller arachnids. so down you go, where you safely land in ankle-deep water that somehow exists beneath the lake. You're not quite sure what the wordless gesture means, so, naturally, you step up to the ledge. To the side, a decrepit old man rocks back and forth in an ornate chair, pointing at the balcony's ledge with an equally ornate staff whenever you try speaking with him. Despite all the horrors you've experienced up until this point, it's enough to calm your nerves, if only for a moment. “Winning isn’t everything–but wanting to win is.Exiting out the back of the college at Byrgenwerth, you stand atop a stone balcony overlooking a calm, moonlit lake.

So, what was you all’s experience with this boss? Let me know down in the comments. It’s everything difficult about this game, but amped up to 11. I hated and loved this fight at the same time. It takes balls of steel and blind luck to get hits in with him. And the delay in his attacks is almost down to zero. Then he goes into his second form, and this fucker gets even worse! What’s more, he gets jumpy. Otherwise you are going to be ripped to pieces.

And if you do take damage, you’d better get back fast. Add to that the constant-screaming, and it’s pretty clear just how bad this guy wants you dead. This guy is one tough son of a bitch! Not only does he attack constantly, but he does NOT let up. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of hardcore bosses in this game, but this DLC just seemed to have bosses that were angry as shit! When you see my final victory, maybe you’ll understand what I mean. Like they want to rip your guts out with their bare hands. It’s really kind of strangeh ow hard everyboss goes at it. So does pretty much every boss in this DLC. It’s a real bitch, too! This thing fights you with such ferocity. This is the last boss in The Old Hunters DLC. With that in mind, let’s talk about the Orphan of Kos boss. The neat thing is that I put them here, and am open to you all telling me about your own experiences. But now I can share these moments with all of you. It’s like the first time you kiss someone, or have sex. The worst part is that you can never recapture that feeling, when you finally trounce an unbelievably-hard boss.

This game’s insane difficulty level makes it so that when you do finally get past a hard area, or a particularly-troublesome boss, you feel like you did something really worthwhile. I am so glad that I decided to start sharing my boss fights.
